Partner integrations

The partner API lets vetted integrators — site builders, CRMs, invoicing tools — provision PayMeNow merchants programmatically. Your users never see a sign-up form; they sign in once to accept the Terms of Service, then the payment widget works.

When to use this

You already have authenticated users on your own platform and you want to let them accept card payments without leaving. Instead of asking them to go sign up with PayMeNow, your backend calls our partner API to create their merchant record, gets back an API key, and renders the embed with that key. Done.

How it works

Your platform PayMeNow

    │ POST /api/partner/clients │
    │ Bearer <partner_api_key> │
    │ { email, name, fee_percent } │
    │ ───────────────────────────────────► │
    │ │
    │ 201 { client_id, api_key, ... } │
    │ ◄─────────────────────────────────── │
    │ │
    │ Render embed with api_key │
    │ │

Your users can accept payments once they have signed in to the PayMeNow dashboard and accepted the Terms of Service. Until then, payment requests for that merchant return 403 with code terms_not_accepted. PayMeNow routes charges to a merchant's connected Stripe account only when card_payments is active; until then, successful payments are held on PayMeNow's platform account for catch-up. A connected account can have card_payments and transfers enabled at different times.

What you don't need

  • No Stripe keys. PayMeNow handles Stripe for you.
  • No PCI concerns. Card data stays in Stripe Elements.
  • No Stripe webhook setup is required from your platform. Normalized outbound merchant webhooks are not currently dispatched automatically; use the merchant dashboard/API for payment status.

Getting partner credentials

Partner accounts are issued manually by the PayMeNow team. Contact us with:

  • Your platform name and website
  • Expected merchant volume and categories
  • The fee range you'd like to charge your merchants (we'll set bounds, you pick anything in them per merchant)

You'll receive a pmn_partner_... API key. Treat it like a password — anyone with it can create merchants under your partner account.
