Payouts

To receive the money you've accepted, connect a Stripe account to PayMeNow. This is a one-time setup.

Connect your Stripe account

  1. Open the dashboard and go to Settings.
  2. Click Set up Stripe payouts.
  3. You'll be redirected to Stripe's hosted onboarding flow. Provide the required business info and bank account. The flow collects both currently due and upcoming requirements.
  4. On completion Stripe redirects you back to the dashboard.
note

Onboarding uses Stripe Connect Express. We create the account for you — you don't need an existing Stripe account.

Stripe verification requirements

Stripe can request identity or business documents during or after onboarding. In the dashboard, Settings shows when information is due or under review.

  • Select Review Stripe details to continue Stripe's hosted onboarding flow.
  • Select Stripe Express dashboard to review account actions and submit verification documents. Stripe sends a one-time verification code to the email address or phone number on the connected account.

The hosted flow can return immediately if it has no fields to collect. For an existing Express account, use the Express Dashboard link to access the account's action list.

An account can be enabled to accept charges while Stripe still restricts payouts or transfers. Held funds remain with PayMeNow until your account is ready, funding is available, and you manually confirm a transfer in Payments. Completing onboarding, refreshing a page, and receiving Stripe webhooks never initiate or retry a transfer.

If Payments shows a transfer error or reference, include it when contacting support. Do not send identity documents to PayMeNow support.

Transfer held funds to Stripe

After Stripe enables transfers for your account:

  1. Open Payments → Held funds to see the successful payments still held by PayMeNow, grouped by currency.
  2. Select Review transfer. PayMeNow checks Stripe's actual settlement balances and shows the net amount held, any applicable conversion rate and fee, and the amount you receive in Stripe.
  3. Select Confirm transfer to Stripe before the review expires. Cancelling the review does not move money.
  4. Check Payments → Transfers to Stripe for the result. Payments are marked transferred only after Stripe confirms the corresponding transfer.

The held balance is the net amount available to transfer. Any new currency conversion fees for the transfer are paid by you and are reflected in the quoted received amount. If the transfer does not require further conversion, no new conversion fee is shown.

Stripe may have already converted a payment into PayMeNow's settlement currency. In that case, the review shows the original held amount, the settled amount, and Stripe's recorded settlement exchange rate when available. An original conversion fee that cannot be separately determined is labelled Not separately available, not zero. The transfer review uses Stripe's actual settled amounts rather than assuming the original payment currency is still held. If further conversion is needed, PayMeNow requests a locked Stripe FX quote for your connected account's default currency. The review cannot be confirmed if Stripe cannot supply a supported quote. Your default currency comes from Stripe; eligible settlement currencies and bank details are managed through Stripe Express, subject to account and platform eligibility.

If the balance, account currency, or fee configuration changes, or the quote expires, review the transfer again. Transfers that fail remain pending and require another explicit review and confirmation to retry. An ambiguous FX transfer whose quote has expired may require support to reconcile; it is not resent with a different quote automatically.

You'll see the transfer in your Stripe dashboard as an incoming transfer.

Check transfer history

Open Payments → Transfers to Stripe to see the latest 100 transfers, with their amount, currency, creation time, completion time, Stripe reference, and PMN ID. The PMN ID identifies the PayMeNow record and is available even when no Stripe reference has been recorded; include it when contacting support. New transfers also retain their quoted received amount and any recorded error.

  • Completed means Stripe confirmed the transfer into your connected Stripe account. It does not mean a payout has reached your bank.
  • Pending means the transfer has not completed, even if onboarding is finished. Funds may still be waiting for transfer activation or sufficient available platform balance.
  • Reload the page to check the latest state. Reloading does not initiate or retry transfers.
  • A pending record without a Stripe reference means no completed Stripe transfer has been recorded. Older records may have been reserved before the Stripe request succeeded; they are not evidence of a completed transfer or bank payout.

Transfers are funded from PayMeNow's available Stripe balance. If Stripe reports balance_insufficient, funds remain pending; review and confirm again after enough funds become available. A single confirmation can create a transfer for each settlement-currency group. If only part succeeds, retrying does not resend completed payments. In test mode, Stripe documents using test card 4000000000000077 to create charges that add to the available test balance.

After onboarding

Once Stripe enables the connected account's card_payments capability, new payments land straight on your Stripe balance:

  • The buyer pays the full amount.
  • Your net proceeds follow your configured Stripe payout schedule.

If Stripe is still reviewing your details or has not enabled card payments, PayMeNow continues accepting payments on its platform account. If this happens again after a previous transfer, Payments → Held funds shows the new balance. Resolve any Stripe requirements in Settings, then review and manually confirm another transfer when Stripe is ready. Previously transferred payments are excluded.

Receive funds in your bank account

  1. Complete Stripe verification and add your payout bank account during onboarding. If you have not added bank details, select Review Stripe details in PayMeNow Settings to complete setup.
  2. Open Settings → Stripe Express dashboard to check your payout bank details, available balance, payout status, and expected arrival dates.
  3. Once payouts are enabled, Stripe sends available funds to your bank automatically according to your account's payout schedule. With automatic payouts, you do not need to initiate each payout separately.

A Completed transfer confirms that funds reached your connected Stripe account, not your bank. Funds must become available in Stripe before they can be paid out. Settlement time, verification requirements, the payout schedule, and bank processing can affect when the money arrives; check Stripe Express for the status and expected arrival date. Separate Stripe settlement or bank-payout fees are not included in the transfer FX quote.

If funds are not arriving, check Stripe Express for outstanding verification requirements, missing or incorrect bank details, and pending or failed payouts. PayMeNow's transfer history does not track bank-payout status.

note

In Stripe test mode, balances and payouts are simulated. No real money is sent to your bank account.

Refunds and chargebacks

Post-onboarding, your Stripe account is the merchant of record. Pre-onboarding payments remain under PayMeNow because the funds are held on our balance.

warning

If you dispute a lot of pre-onboarding charges before completing onboarding, your held balance could go negative. We may require you to settle before transferring held funds.
